HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MY PROJECT?
Every project is different. For example, depending on size, websites can wrap up anywhere between 2-10 weeks. Project timelines can be discussed in detail before we begin, and overall speediness largely depends on the client’s availability for feedback and providing content. I'm all about getting it done with efficiency, but it takes two to tango.
ARE YOU AN INDEPENDENT FREELANCER, OR DO YOU WORK WITH A TEAM?
I am a one-person studio (muscle flex), and cover the workload for my clients in everything they need - even as far as troubleshooting for site bugs, or hiking to the printers to find the perfect paper. But! Sometimes a project becomes more ambitious than what I can handle solo. I do have connections with talented photographers, web programmers, and even other freelance designers I can call. If my network doesn't suit the project, I'm available to help scout a new professional who may be the perfect fit.
I'M ON A TIGHT BUDGET. CAN WE STILL WORK TOGETHER?
Absolutely! When we first meet or talk, budget is one of the most important things to iron out. At that point we can discuss an expectation of work and time, design phases, and invoice details. I'm a mom - I totally get saving money and love to help my customers achieve beautiful design within their budgets.
Great news is that every new client receives an hour of free creative discovery. Within a year of your initial contract, my clients can enjoy free < 30 minute calls each week for the active life of your project, and one free < an hour in-person meeting a month. I'm also happy to take care of any "quick fix" under 5 minutes a week, happily on the house. I simply want to stay connected and make sure you're happy and achieving success with your designs.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO HIRE YOU?
Get in touch as soon as you can. It’s a joy to have 2 weeks notice before we need to kick things off. That being said, I do often book out in advance and it's nice to plan ahead. I'm happy to chat about schedules, anytime.
CAN YOU WORK ON LOCATION?
With a little advanced planning. I love working with a team and would be happy to hop in for meetings or a little design time. However, I would need to plan my time away from my studio at least a week in advance. I offer my clients one hour of free meeting time every month for the life of their project. After that, I do bill at an hourly rate for travel + meeting time.
